The Internet

Computer is indeed a wonder modern age. But the miracles that are happening through computers have  surprised mankind. Internet is the most amazing discovery in this aspect. It has made this world a global village in the real sense .

Describing the Internet is like describing a city. One can talk about land escape, the government, the people, the weather or a combination of all of them. There are many parts that make up the whole. Internet today is a simple prototype of the information superhighway of tomorrow.

Internet has enclosed the past, present, & future of this word in small box. It    is not a program, its not a piece of hardware or software, its not even a system instead it is a place where you can get information, make information available & where you can meet people. One can have knowledge of the events taking place in any corner of the world. Internet is a network of computer that offers access to people & information. Accumulated information over the centuries in the fields of history, politics, culture, science & technology can be made access to, in no time.

Over 10 million people use the Internet and the number is expected to increase to 100 million within few years. Internet has been introduced in Pakistan, too. All our big cities have been connected through this system.

The future of Internet is hard to predict. The class difference in education at least can be removed  if the government provides Internet system at school without discrimination. The country can be run on scientific lines & its economy can be strengthened with the application of this system.
